Policies + Terms
Reservations require a 25 percent deposit, which can be refunded if a reservation is cancelled at least 24 hours before scheduled pickup time. This deposit can be made on our website, using a credit card, or made over the telephone when calling in a reservation. Full payment is also gladly accepted.
Any balance due can be paid on arrival at your destination by credit card or cash (US currency or Nicaraguan Córdobas).
Authorization vs. Charge
When making a deposit for a reservation on our website using a credit card, the amount is initially authorized, rather than charged. This means that although the amount is deducted from your available credit, it is not yet charged against your card (added to the amount you owe on the card). This is done so an Adelante Express team member can ensure your reservation was made correctly, and for the correct amount.
If a correction is needed that reduces your fare, you will not be notified, and will benefit from a lower amount being charged to your credit card. If an adjustment is needed that increases your fare, the existing authorization is cancelled and you will be contacted to approve processing your card again for the increased amount.
Although a review and final charge is typically completed within 24 hours, an authorization is valid for 5 days, during which a charge can be made at any time.
Deposits Are Not Refundable
Payments and deposits are nonrefundable unless the associated reservation is cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled pick up time.
If for a reason outside a customer’s control, that customer does not take a trip that has been reserved, and the Adelante Express driver was at the pickup location, at the time specified in the reservation, at the discretion of Adelante Express, the amount on deposit may be applied to another reservation. In no case will the deposit be refunded.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pick up time are without penalty and the customer is entitled to a full refund minus any transfer surcharges by third parties. No refunds are provided for cancellations made within 24 hours of, or after, a scheduled pick up time.
Although refunds leave our bank within seven days, receiving banks have their own policies that may result in longer delays before the refund is available for withdrawal.
Credit Card Numbers
When payments are made on the Adelante Express website, the full credit card number goes only to our bank and the service they use to process credit card payments. At no time does Adelante Express have access to a complete credit card number used for online payment.
When payment by credit card is made in person, or over the telephone, the full credit card number is used only to process a single transaction. No record of a complete credit card number is kept by Adelante Express.
Limits of Liability
Adelante Express is not responsible for delays caused by accidents, civil disturbances, emergency medical situations, mechanical malfunction, damage to the highway, extreme weather, or other acts of God. We are not responsible for direct or indirect consequences of our performance, or lack thereof, including, but not limited to, failure to arrive on time for a flight, meeting or other event, and loss of lodging reservation or other service due to late arrival.
Money Back Guarantee
Adelante Express offers a 100% money back guarantee in the event we do not provide the service paid for according to the terms and policies herein, subject to our limits of liability.
Flight Delay Guarantee
Flight delays are common all over the globe. Adelante Express will wait for a confirmed Adelante Express passenger up to 30 minutes after the scheduled arrival time if no other passengers have reserved the same shuttle as the delayed passenger AND there are no other scheduling constraints.
If we are alerted to a late or cancelled flight, pickup time will be adjusted accordingly and the 30-minute wait period begins at the adjusted arrival time.
In the event that we have to leave the airport without a confirmed Adelante Express passenger, we will make other transportation arrangements for the delayed passenger; however, Adelante Express is not responsible for any additional cost this special arrangement may incur.
Adelante Express does not sell, or otherwise provide, names or contact information of customers to any other organization.
Use of Customer Information
Information collected is used solely to provide service to our customers or maintain contact with customers to say thank you, invite a return trip, or provide information on our service or information on what is happening in Nicaragua.
Access to and Control Over Personal Information
Customers may opt out of future contact from Adelante Express at any time by contacting us at the email address or phone number on our website. Requests will also be honored to:
- Update or correct data on file.
- Delete information about a customer making the request.
